JIPA環境シンポジウム JIPA: GREEN Symposium
〜クリーンオーシャンをテーマにWIPO GREENの活用を考える／Using WIPO GREEN for Clean Ocean〜
現在、海洋汚染が進み2050年の海は魚よりもプラスチックごみの量が多くなると言われるほど問題は深刻化しています。環境問題は遠い未来の話ではなく、早急に国や組織、業種を超えて全体で取り組まなければなりません。
本シンポジウムでは、海洋ゴミ問題の現状、専門組織CLOMAの活動、対策技術の紹介を具体例としてWIPO GREENの活用を検討いたします。WIPO GREENは、技術提供者と技術探求者の国際的なマッチングの場で、環境技術を世界に普及する後押しをする枠組みです。
本シンポジウムが、各社が持つ素晴らしい環境技術を使いあうことで、問題解決に向けてチャレンジをしていく出発点となることを願っております。
知財関係者の皆さまはもちろんのこと、今後関係すると思われる部門の皆様にもぜひ本シンポジウムをご覧いただけるようご紹介をお願いいたします。 多くの皆様のご参加をお待ちしております。
＊ WIPO GREENへの参画の仕方としては、技術／ニーズ登録参加およびパートナー参加がございます。
パートナー参加により、国連機関WIPOのWIPO GREENを通じて自社が環境問題・社会課題に取り組んでいる姿勢をPRすることが出来、技術登録から環境関連の技術を持っていること、供与する準備があることを示すことが出来ます。ニーズから課題情報の収集や、技術を登録することで技術の情報の発信やビジネスにつなげることも可能です。

The problem of marine pollution has become serious that it is said that there will be more plastic than fish in the world's oceans by 2050. This is not a story for the distant future, an environmental problem is that needs to be tackled urgently by the entire society, regardless of country, organization, or industry.
In this symposium, we will discuss the current status of marine litter issues, the activities of the Japan Clean Ocean Material Alliance (CLOMA), the introduction of specific technologies for the clean ocean and any environmental issues, and the practical use of WIPO GREEN. WIPO GREEN is an international matching platform for technology providers and seekers and is a framework to encourage the spread of environmental technologies around the world.
We hope that this symposium will serve as a starting point to challenge each other to solve problems by using each company's excellent environmental technologies.

In response to growing demand from both the market and society for greater environmental responsibility, it has become essential for all industries to seize new business opportunities that lead to creating a " virtuous cycle of the environment and growth" and for companies to transform their business models into ones that can achieve a high degree of resource recycling. In this presentation, I will talk about recent developments in policies dealing with resource recycling, as well as initiatives implemented by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) with regard to the recycling of plastic materials.

CLOMA is a gathering of 415 companies responsible for materials, product manufacturing, retailing, and recycling, and by bringing together the technologies and wisdom of each, we will create innovative solutions and aim to spread them to the world.

identifying and connecting technologies and solution seekers」 （15分, 15min） Mr. Peter Oksen（WIPO、Senior Program Officer for Climate Change and Food Security） ＜講演概要＞ WIPO GREENの目的は、実行可能な解決策としてイノベーションと環境技術を推進することにより、気候変動、食糧安全保障、環境といった地球規模の課題との闘いに貢献することにあります。この活動の中核的ツールの1つである技術とニーズからなるWIPO GREENのデータベースを、私たちは可能な限り実用的で効率の良いものにする方法を常に模索しています。現在、データベースは再構築され新しい機能が実装されております。 ＜Lecture summary＞ in EnglishWIPO GREEN’s objective is to contribute to combatting the global challenges of climate change, food security, and the environment by promoting innovation and green technologies as possible solutions. The WIPO GREEN database of technologies and needs is one of the core tools in this work, and we are constantly seeking ways of making it as useful and efficient as possible. Currently, the database is being remade and new functionalities are being implemented.
