MOU on the Cooperation Activities between WIPO & JIPA
On June 3, 2016 at the UN University in Tokyo, a memorandum between WIPO and JIPA was signed and concluded by Mr. Francis Gurry, Director General of WIPO and Mr. Kenji Kondo (TOYOTA), President, in the presence of Mr. Toshikazu Tanaka, Chairperson of JIPA, Mr. John Sandage, Deputy Director General of WIPO and other persons concerned.
This memorandum is for exchanging the latest IP-related information between WIPO and JIPA, and aims at developing a global, more meaningful IP legislation framework. The memorandum also helps to secure information exchange in conferences, for example, a video conference held with the headquarters of WIPO presently almost alternate month, allowing us to obtain more detailed information.
