Taiwan: JIPA Special Awards in INST2013

Taipei International Invention Show & Technomart (INST) 2013 was held at the World Trade Center in Taipei during September 26th to 29th, 2013.

The INST is an exhibition organized by Taiwan External Trade Development Council, to introduce latest technologies, invention and industrial designs from mainly Taiwan research institutions including the Ministry of Economic Affairs.

According to local reports, it gathered 100,000 visitors and 1,005 works from 22 countries during a 4 days event, it ended up being the largest IP show in Asia.

At the award ceremony, JIPA’ vice president Mr. Sasaki presented its awards to the following winners.

JIPA Green Technology Award
Name of invention: Clamping Energy Saving Light Fixtures
Inventors: Dr. Cong-Hui Huang, Jing-Fung Lin, Jheng-Han Lin, Chao-Chin Chiang,
Xin-Zhi Lee, Yu-Tang Su, Bo-Ren Shi and Wei-Hao Su,
Name of University: Far East University, Taiwan

JIPA Biotechnology Award
Name of invention : The Inconceivable Polisher Remover
Inventors : Dr. Kuang-Hway Yin, Ms. Hsiao-fen Wang and Mr. Mu-En Yih
Name of University : Hung Kuang University, Taiwan

JIPA Design Award
Name of Invention : Removable Window Cage Which Can Be Used As Safety Exit
Inventors : Ms. Chang, Yu-Tzu and Ms Chu, Yi-Tien
Name of University :Asia University, Taiwan

Presenting our special awards, which is the second country following Malaysia, intents to enlighten Asian countries on respect/importance of Intellectual Property.
