International Activities

　　On September 29, 2017, Mr. Kucharski, Chief Operating Officer (COO) of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) headquarters, visited the JIPA Tokyo Office, and exchanged opinions with Mr. Omizu, Managing Director of JIPA, Mr. Kuji, Executive Director of JIPA, and other secretariat members from JIPA.

　　He introduced the structure of ICC, activities focused on (IP fields in the ICC committee: promotion of an effective IP system, BASCAP: Business Action to Stop Counterfeiting and Piracy, ICC ACADEMY: online training covering the main fields of ICC activities), etc. JIPA talked about an outline of activities of the IP promotion PJ, the fourth industrial revolution PJ, etc., very relevant to the main activities of ICC while introducing our main activities. Through a free discussion in the meeting, we received a request from Mr. Kucharski to continuously built cooperative relationships between ICC and JIPA in the future as the both have a lot in common in directionality, and we shared, with ICC, perception of anti-counterfeiting measures, the need to make good use of IP in the world, etc. as the common perception of IP.
