2015 Japan-China Corporate Cooperation Conferences in Xian & Guangzhou
Japan-China Corporate Cooperation Conferences were held in Xian on March 25, 2015 and in Guangzhou on March 27, 2015.The conferences are held every year for the purpose of improving the intellectual property awareness through exchange of views on the IP systems and practices and so on between Japanese and Chinese enterprises at the practitioner level to share each other's information.
In FY2014, we took up the themes of "IP risk management in global business", "IP utilizing strategy in business activities", and presentations and lively discussions were made from companies of both Japan and China. No conference was held at Shanghai this year because the Chinese side notified us that recruiting presentation enterprises was difficult.
The Xian Conference was organized by JIPA and the Patent Protection Association in China (PPAC) under the auspices of the Enterprise Patent Protection Association of Shaanxi Province and 8 companies including national companies and companies around Xian made presentations from the Chinese side and about 100 people took part in the conference. The Guangzhou Conference was held while its participants were limited to about 40 people at the request of the Guangzhou side. The Guangzhou Conference was organized by JIPA and the Guangdong Intellectual Property Research Association under the auspices of the Consulate General of Japan in Guangzhou and the Guangdong Intellectual Property Office, and eight companies made presentations also from the Chinese side.
