EcoProducts Int'l Fair 2013 in Singapore

From March 14 to 16, 2013, the EcoProducts International Fair (EPIF) 2013 was held in Singapore. From JIPA, Mr. Yorimasa Suwa (Teijin) participated in the event, representing the Green Technology Package Project Team of JIPA. In the speech session and at the exhibition venue, Mr. Suwa introduced WIPO Green and invited visitors to join the network and register their technologies in the WIPO Green database.

During this visit to Singapore, he also visited Singapore University of Technology & Design and a company which was in charge of technology transfer at A*STAR (Agency for Science, Technology and Research) to introduce WIPO Green and discuss the possibility of their collaboration in the project.

WIPO co-hosted the EPIF this year, on the request of the JIPA Project Team to the EPIF administrative office. At the international conference held concurrently with the fair, Mr. Johannes Christian Wichard, WIPO assistant secretary general, made a presentation about WIPO and WIPO Green.

In the exhibition venue, Mr. Suwa mainly visited the booths of Japanese companies to talk about WIPO Green and invite registration of their technologies in the WIPO Green database. He also visited booths of the Japanese Ministry of the Environment, Sumitomo & Mitsui Banking Corporation (which was also an event sponsor), and the Green Trade Project Office of the Taiwanese Ministry of Economic Affairs, in order to actively promote WIPO and WIPO Green.
