JIPA executives had a talk with Mr. Battistelli of EPO President at his visiting opportunity to Japan
On June 22, 2011, JIPA executives, that are Mr. Koumoto of JIPA President, Mr. Naito of JIPA Vice-President, Mr. Takenaka of JIPA Managing Director, Mr. Usui of JIPA Ex-President and others, had a talk and exchanged opinions with Mr. Battistelli of EPO President, at his visiting opportunity to Japan for participating the Fourth Meeting of the IP5 Heads of Office held in Tokyo.At the meeting with Mr. Battistelli of EPO President, EPO President explained that the hearing of opinions from the user was extremely important for drafting and carrying out the measure of the EPO. Also, EPO President proposed to us that he would like to give an exchange of opinions with JIPA continuously, and Mr. Koumoto of JIPA President expressed the will of thanks to his proposal and decided to give a periodical exchange of opinions in future.
Also, JIPA received the explanation concerning to the situation of the recent application, examination of the EPO and a patent information policy. We had useful exchange of opinions about PCT, PPH, Harmonization of the Patent System, EU Patent and others.
