JIPA-AIPLA¡¡Meeting

On April 18 2007, 2£¶ members of Japan IP Practice Committee, The American Intellectual Property Law Association(AIPLA) ,including Chairperson Mr. Jim Pooley, come to JIPA to have the annual opinion exchange. JIPA President, Mr. Usui and other 12 people attended the meeting from JIPA.

At the meeting, Mr. Shobayashi of Int¡Çl Patent committee introduced ¡ÈPatent Prosecution Highway " and Ms. Miyashita of License committee explained ¡Èthe Specified Non-exclusive License Registration System¡É and "e-discovery", "Willful Patent Infringement", an introduction of "Patent exhaustion" were done from AIPLA side.

With the increase the number of participants and topics, we were pressed for time in completing all presentations. Even though the discussion was not enough, this meeting provides us good opportunity to know the latest US IP information.
